RIVER CROSSING BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT: Lander, Wyoming

A 1.17-acre site at the intersection of Highway 287, River Place, and the Popo Agie River in Lander, Wyoming, provides the backdrop for this collection of mixed-use commercial spaces. Approximately 17,000-square feet of office, retail, and restaurant space lies within a balanced scheme of parking, landscape and pedestrian pathways. The developers wished to utilize the existing western Wyoming vernacular of storefronts and facades so a deliberate effort was made to acknowledge the materials and forms of the surrounding community.

The “River Crossing” name inspired the bridge-like connection between two traditional western false front structures. The overhead canopy provides a strong street presence as well as an entry into the complex.
